Waste Management in Bulgaria

Together with EPTISA and Parson Brinckerhoff PlanMiljø is involved in a project about waste management in Bulgaria. The object of the project is to improve waste management through waste systems, and ensure compliance of EU regulation on waste.

  • Estimation and evaluation of existing municipal waste treatment systems
  • Preparation of a complete regional waste strategy together with a implementation plan
  • 22 programs for waste management
  • Effectuation of 3 regional waste management organs
  • Guidelines for implementation of regional waste management systems
  • Training program for municipalities
  • Dissemination of the findings
